Si tratta di una bufala partorita nell'aprile 2011 (forse prima) con la seguente notizia circolata nel web:
Sorcha Faal: US Warns Russia: “Aliens On Their Way, Will Be Here In 2012”
Da questa vecchia discussione sulla citata notizia:
www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1459674/pg1
si apprende quanto segue:
"Note: There is no such person as "Sorcha Faal, Russian academic" "Sorcha Faal" is actually David Booth, an American computer programmer and disinfo specialist who works for the CIA. The website www.whatdoesitmean.com resolves to an address in MacLean, Virginia. "Sorcha" is alleged to be a Russian academic but there is absolutely no record of anyone with such a name in Russian academia. These periodic eruptions have absolutely no basis in any kind of fact or reality and are typical of the nonsense bespangling the internet. These reports, however, have a good deal of entertainment value. This idiocy is almost as funny as the Scientology cult babblings."

Sulle numerose bufale di Sorcha Faal ritroviamo un topic del 2007 di Above Top Secret:

Dietro a tali notizie e al suddetto gruppo vi è un ambiguo personaggio cospirazionista, tale David Booth:
